Have we mentioned that we write copy?
We've even been told by the crew on one show that that our copy was funnier than the stuff their writers were coming up with. Ouch!

Client: "The Andy Dick Show" (MTV)
Logos and signage.
• PETC stands for "People for the Ethical Treatment of Cotton." This logo was used on banners and bumper stickers in a sketch. As with virtually all of the other pieces done for the show, the client gave us the title, and left the rest to us. This is one of our favorite parody logos since it's so corporate and worldly.
• "Method for the Revolution". Think "Rage Against the Machine"... Andy Dick-style. The logo covered the band's kick drum.
• "Rock the Crash Crib House Space" was a sendup of all those home-invasion style redecorating shows.
• "100% Sex-cess" parodied MTV's game shows, in which everyone gets a prize. Logo was executed in different colors for each contestant and the host.
• "S-Box" was Andy's version of Microsoft's "X-Box". The legal department became a bit uncomfortable upon seeing this version (as we thought they might), so we went a totally different direction.
• Sadly, Andy became very paranoid about health and home security at some point, and instituted some rather, shall we say, harsh methods. Howard Hughs could have learned a thing or two. The show gave us the names of the security areas, and we provided the design. The Body Cavity Search sign still shows up in the production offices of other productions.

Packaging, publications and photo manipulation
• Yes, Kennie Drebsen is still "The Man Behind Your Crack", and you can find out what that means by watching the nonexistent videos in these boxes designed by Thought Nozzle. Client provided the photos and titles; we added effects, design and copy.
• In a parody of the Matthew Lesko book commercials, "Lyle Tillman" tells you how the government can provide you with free sex. The show gave us a photo of Andy as Lyle, and the weirdness began. If you have a copy of a Lesko book, you'll see how tight this parody is.
• A headline and free rein is all we ask. We named the paper, and the article we wrote drew praise from the show's staff writers, while Andy kept a copy tacked up in his trailer. The "photo" was actually fabricated from scratch in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• They asked for a tabloid cover about Molly Sims, and provided the "Rock of Crack" headline, the cleared "Hollywood Revealer" name, and a budget for stock photos. The rest is all Thought Nozzle. We have a cherished Polaroid of Molly enjoying her copy.
• No, this kid isn't infected with some flesh-eating bacterium (at least we hope he's not). It's the latest kid-craze: tattoos (and not the fake kind). This little guy wanted to be a tiger, so we striped him in Illustrator and Photoshop. |
