Go ahead and throw it at us, no matter what it is. We're especially proud of our parody work. One of the things that makes a parody really funny is getting the details right... The closer you get to the original, the better it is. So, we make sure all parody items have that extra bit of depth and detail that give the gag that extra... flavor.
But even if you're looking for gravitas, you've come to the right place.

Client: "Picking Up the Pieces" (Kushner-Locke/Cinemax)
Signage, baby, signage!
• This movie takes place in New Mexico, and we modeled the welcome sign on the small town's prominent mission church, using a cut-out shape. The church was used in several places as a kind of town logo.
• "Unojo" is Spanish for "One-Eye", the nickname of the town's bartender, and his bar. Sign designed in Adobe Illustrator and rendered in Photoshop.
• The exit sign is one of those deceptively simple items. You would think it would be easy to slap one together, but since moviegoers see these every day, they'll know there's something wrong if it's not just right.
• The "Future Site" sign is your usual contruction site piece, and includes a logo designed for the hotel. We translated the phone number to an exchange-style "KJ5" just to avoid the dreaded "555".
• Graphics for police cars and office doors, created in Adobe Illustrator, and delivered via email or disk to the sign shop for adhesive vinyls to be cut.
• "Donut Dude"... also executed in a stacked format, and as a repeating border. Type fans will recognize Giddyup and a customized glyph from Giddyup Thangs (we deep-fried it and added food coloring and sprinkles). |

Product labels.
• A dismembered hand exhibits mystic properties and becomes a religious relic — and tourist attraction — for El Niño. That's where we come in, providing labels for household cleaner, mouthwash, and a whole line of Miraculous Hand products. (Rent the movie for an explanation of the finger...) |

Magazine covers.
• For Bass Sportsman magazine, we selected a stock photo, designed the nameplate, wrote the cover teasers and added the obligatory UPC; we also created a back-cover ad, including an original illustration and copy.
• Big Black Booty magazine? We think our illustration speaks for itself. (But check out the teasers we wrote.) Very cheeky... |

Parody product labels.
• Ebony Herbal Essence shampoo; after all, aren't the original's commercials begging for a sendup?
• Jermaine Dupree gets redubbed "Jermaine DuPringles" for this new snack.
• Haterade. This hip-hop figure of speech comes to life in a commercial parody. Sized to fit bottles of real sports drink, these labels include complete design and copy by Thought Nozzle. As with "Ebony Herbal Essence," "Snoop's Nuts" and "Jermaine DuPringles," the client provided the name, and we took it from there, providing design, illustration and copy: "NEW! Lemon-Loathing!"
• Snoop's Nuts. We considered putting a little monacle and top hat on him, but then remembered that we like living. One trade secret: laying stuff (like cashews) on a flatbed scanner makes a cheap, easy and surprisingly effective substitute for photography.
• Rev. Hades. This one's close to our hearts. The show said they needed "40's labels." And they couldn't clear "St. Ides." So, Thought Nozzle created a parody: "Rev. Hades Max-Density Malt Liquor." Snoop liked the name and the trade dress design so much that he started talking on the set about bottling Rev. Hades himself. It might just be coming soon to a liquor store near you. |

Parody presidential campaign materials.
• We designed these posters and bumper stickers around the provided slogans, to give the Dogg/Hefner ticket the support they deserve. |

Ice cream truck sign.
• Designed for Snoop's hip-hop ice cream truck, this cherry-garnished logo is chillin' the block. Humbucker is the cool face. |
